Asahizaka joins Chawanzaka with Kiyomizuzaka halfway up to Kiyomizu Temple. This historic sloping street has many shops where you can eat, drink and view or buy crafted goods.
It is a good place to enjoy Japanese traditional crafts of all sorts from many different angles, in addition to Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware. It is also a nice place to take a leisurely stroll as it offers nice views of Kyoto, from Rakugai to Rakuchu.
With the addition of Local SAKE and BEER Stand 336, which is located at the intersection of Chawanzaka and Gojozaka, the area is becoming increasingly attractive to many kinds of people, who come to enjoy the concept of traditional craft and tableware.

[From Hankyu Kawaramachi Station]Take City Bus No. 207, get off at Kiyomizumichi and walk for 10 minutes towards Kiyomizu Temple.
